I AM AN ASIAN MAN AND I THINK ASIANS SHOULD STOP WRITING

First it was this buffet...  (peep the link for article)

Then it was this... (peep the link for article)

Then she posted two photos in the same article wearing the same jumpoff? We get it, you like Forever 21, keep it moving.

Jenny An's article didn't bother me. I didn't even respond. Why? Cause we kick it with Asians...

We kick it with white people...

We kick it with brown people...

We kick it with black people...

Shit we kick it with mofuckin KATE UPTON... GOONIES!

All these Asian dating articles floating around are straight bullshit. WE LOSE every time one of these idiots writes an article because the position they begin their analysis from assumes that your skin determines your character. It doesn't you shit heads. Only in America are Asians relegated to cubicles and laundromats. If you go to Asia you will see. We got mother fuckers in mountains...

We got idiots who think they Chris Brown

We got Asians who are so fucking future

We got Asians with HELMETS ON!!!

Before you people write anymore articles perpetuating stereotypes, free yourselves of racial conditioning. You are not "ASIAN". You are not Chinese. You are not Taiwanese. You are not Vietnamese. I really hope you're not Japanese (j/k). You are an individual. Until you find a voice and detox yourself of stigma, stop defining yourself with labels. I'm proud to be Chinese-Taiwanese-... fuck... American.  But until I found my voice as an individual, I had to stop claiming all of the above. I had to shed my skin to reclaim it on my own terms. Do what you gotta do but please... stop writing until you find a voice.

  1. I remember as a kid watching "Dragon: The Bruce Lee Story". The scene where him and his wife (who's white) tell her mom that they' want to have children. She's baffled and tells them they won't be accepted by whites or "orientals", they'll be a half breed.

Bruce responds that they'll be american. His wife Linda's american, Bruce is american.

That really stuck with me at 10 years old. And even now, it pains me to see articles like "the asian invasion" in design, or cooking, or film, or tech, or whatever. Like it's some surprise that smart and talented people can be smart and talented and not all look like each other.

Your post is so spot on with how I feel. When I saw the first article (and now seeing the rebuttal) I can't help but just cringe.

  2. well said , i dont even know what you were responding to, but more americans need to be colourblind when it comes to race. we're all humans with our own personalities and individuality... i reject any racial stereotyping. i hang with who i wanna hang with, where i wanna hang. thank you for saying this shit!

  3. TLDR,TLDR but the second girl gets props for blindfolding her bf, driving him out to the Target parking lot and giving him a handy, before a night out on the town.

  4. It can be explained in term of economics competition. People in Asian countries are getting richer and white people, in general, are getting poorer. I will not be surprised to see the trend of being anti-Asian prevail in the near future.

  5. Ha! Love it. But I think that some folks have to write their way out of those assigned pigeonholes. You find your voice by using it, right?

  6. We live in a country that can pigeonhole you into a nice little emasculated hole while at the same time praise you for sharing the most popular video on youtube. So I'm not surprised at all about these posts. But perhaps what is most disappointing about these "writers" and their opinions is that I can't help but think that neither of these broads have even had enough experience with dick to make these broad and outlandish generalizations of an entire ethnic group. Here's a writing tip to Jenny An and Clarissa Wei: Collect your facts before you start spewing hate, otherwise you risk sounding like a Fox News analyst.

So let's just say that these broads were, in fact, well-versed in all kinds of dick, then, maybe, I'd be okay with their declaration for this dick or the other. But no. I am willing to bet a West African King's fortune (via Western Union) that these girls haven't even thought about trying as much different dick as possible because maybe, just maybe, they might like it a little too much - regardless of shape, size and/or color. And that's about as American as things get, amirite?

Man, I'm all for sexually liberated females who don't discriminate when it comes to that dick. Especially if that dick is my dick.

  7. The best way to fight the stigma is to not acknowledge its existence!

  9. If you're "Asian" and you break stereotypes (IR dating, lifting, etc.), then props to you.

If you're a stereotype perpetuating Asian (lives in the Asian bubble, scrawny, thinks being overly effeminate is trendy, bad driver, heel dragging, etc.), please stop.

    1. Waaat? Scrawny rocks -- it's not a stereotype, it's a fucking body type.

You're obviously lifting too much, and it's not gonna end well -- you're gonna end up a flabby, wrinkled, frustrated old Asian lady, mister.

  10. Our culture has cum to this? Ordinary Asian think he negro? NYT Times think this has cultural significance?

We all know this anyway. Anything written in the NYT is worthy of trash. They know it ends up as toilet paper or fish wrap, anyway.

  11. humans are humans thats what i have always believed and I traveled the globe to see that there's not much difference at a personal level, we are all the same the good the bad and the ugly nature that is in all of us.
I hated when my friend asked me "whats your type" I hate that question because its so stereotypical and I felt stupid in giving her an answer to fit in with her stereotypical world.

    1. I see, you have never visited a Muslim, Communist or Socialist state.

You are not very well traveled to elucidate or qualify your words as "pearls of wisdom".

As momma said, get a LIFE!

  12. THANK YOU for this commentary. As an "Asian" woman who really doesn't understand why people are so determined to take sides on this issue, both those articles were incredibly infuriating and reductive.
